    Department's Mission and Policy: To devise necessary measures for proper maintenance and management of water resources, water supply branches, water purification centers, public wells, borewells, roads, buildings, schools, playgrounds, parks and cemeteries in the 9 administrative wards of Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation area (Ward A), (Ward B), (Ward C), (Ward D), (Ward E), (Ward F), (Ward G), (Ward H), (Ward I) as well as the work area of ​​the Sixth Engineer and Deputy Engineer, to plan the work accordingly and make necessary provisions in the budget.

    Detailed nature of work: In coordination with the Water Supply, Sewerage and Construction Department under the City Engineer (Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation) Department and the 9 administrative wards (Ward A to Ward I) in the Ward Committee and the Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer and Consultant, to prepare project reports in accordance with the planning and design of the relevant project works, as well as to provide technical guidance to the subordinate Deputy Engineers and Assistant Engineers in the development works underway under the Municipal Fund/Government Fund in the department. To conduct a physical inspection with the concerned officers for proper planning and management of development works and submit reports for necessary decisions. To resolve the related problems, and to organize review meetings accordingly and to provide guidance and cooperation to complete the works within the stipulated time. To issue circulars according to the quality of the works and as per the procedure, and to process the Rs. received from the subordinate Deputy Engineers and Assistant Engineers. Technically scrutinize and approve capital and revenue proposals above Rs. 25.00 lakhs, submit them to the competent authority for administrative approval and implement the further tender process.
