    5. Support to Urban Street Vendors
    6. Scheme of Shelter for Urban Homeless
    Departmental Functions:-

    1. Capacity building of urban poor, urban poor people, their institutions, livelihood development and urban poverty alleviation mechanisms.
    2. Providing maximum livelihood opportunities to the individuals of urban poor families.
    3. Providing employment and self-employment opportunities to the urban poor by providing skill development training according to the industrial needs of the market and keeping in mind the needs of various sectors.
    4. Promoting small scale industries of the urban poor.
    5. Providing permanent and basic shelters for the urban homeless people.
    6. Taking necessary measures to solve the livelihood problems of urban hawkers and improve their standard of living.
