Water Department
Department’s Mission and Policy: To plan the necessary measures to maintain the water bodies, water supply branches, water purification centers, public wells, borewells, roads, buildings, schools, playgrounds, parks and cemeteries in the 9 administrative wards (Ward A), (Ward B) (Ward C), (Ward D), (Ward E), (Ward F), (Ward G), (Ward H), (Ward I), and the Deputy Engineer, Sixth Engineer in the Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation area and to plan the work accordingly and to make necessary provisions in the budget.
Detailed nature of work: (a) Water Supply, Sewerage and Construction Department under the City Engineer (Vasai Virar City Municipal Corporation) Department as well as Ward Committee 9 Administrative Wards (A to I) and Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer in coordination with the Consultant as well as Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer (A to I) and Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer in preparation of project reports in accordance with the planning and planning of the related project works, provide technical guidance to the subordinate Deputy Engineer, Assistant Engineer in the development work going on under the Municipal Fund/Government Fund in the department, inspect with the concerned for proper planning and management of the development work and submit it for necessary decision. To resolve problems, and accordingly to conduct review meetings and provide guidance and support for the completion of works within the prescribed time frame, to issue circulars in accordance with the quality of works and work procedures, to technically scrutinize and approve capital and revenue proposals above Rs. 25.00 lakh received from Sub-Engineers and Sub-Engineers, to submit them to the competent authority for administrative approval and to take further tender action.
