    Brief information about the department:-
    1. Implementing various welfare schemes for the poor citizens of the Municipal Corporation through the Women and Child Welfare Department.
    2. Supplying educational materials to the students of ZP schools and Anganwadi/Kindergartens.
    3. Distributing sanitary napkins to the students of ZP schools and orphanages.
    Department’s work:-
    1. Receiving applications for various financial benefit schemes and taking further action regarding granting them grants.
    2. Organizing various programs for women.
    3. Distributing educational materials to children in Zilla Parishad schools.
    4. Distributing educational materials and toys to students in Anganwadi.
    5. Distributing sanitary pads to girls in Zilla Parishad schools and orphanages.
    6. Preparing new schemes for citizens in the municipal area.
    7. Organizing various programs for students in Zilla Parishad schools.
    8. Taking action regarding providing free bus passes to school students under the bus pass scheme.
    9. Scrutinizing the applications for various schemes received from the nine ward committees and submitting them for further approval.
    10. Organizing various programs for children in the municipal area.
