Nature of work of the Electricity Department

1. To look after the implementation and management of electrical work in all street lights and buildings in the city.
2. To look after the inspection of all buildings and electrical works in the department.
3. To manage street lights and street lamps as per the provisions of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporation Act 1949.
4. To arrange public street lamps on the city roads as per the requirement and available provisions, to provide electrical facilities in the Municipal Corporation office buildings.
