Transport Services
The transport service of Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation was started on 03 October 2012. The transport service that has been started has been given to run on royalty basis on BOOM (Buy, Own, Operate & Maintain) principle. Therefore, the salaries of the bus, bus driver, conductor and other employees as well as the fuel, repair, insurance and other ancillary expenses required for the bus have to be borne by the bus operator and royalty has to be paid to the Municipal Corporation for each bus. In this, the Municipal Corporation does not suffer any loss, on the contrary, the Municipal Corporation receives income in the form of royalty and advertisement fees.
