IT Department

Brief information about the department:-

1. Computerization of various works under the e-Governance project.
2. Keeping the website and app of the Municipal Corporation updated.
3. Providing computers, printers for daily work under the department of the Municipal Corporation, maintaining and repairing them, providing internet facilities and installing and maintaining a CCTV system in the office.

Departmental Functions:-

1.Manage all the work of the Information and Technology Department and plan the work in contact with the Hon. Commissioner and Hon. Deputy Commissioner.

2.Implement the e-Government Policy of the Government of Maharashtra and take action on it subject to the instructions and decisions from the Hon. State Government from time to time.

3.Computerization of various daily tasks under the e-Governance Project.

4.Keep the website and app of the Municipal Corporation updated.

5.Resolve technical problems arising in the work related to e-tendering carried out in the wards and various departments of the Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation.

6.Provide internet and network connectivity to all the departmental offices in the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation and 9 wards and keep them functional.

7.Provide support regarding the redressal of online complaints received by citizens on the official website of the Central Government, Aaple Sarkar and P.G Portal.

8.Publish important events of the Municipal Corporation on Facebook page, Twitter page and YouTube.

9.Conduct online vaccination sessions.
